Police Seek Taxicab Driver For Alleged Sexual Assault Of Female Rider
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are searching for a taxicab driver that is accused of assaulting a 27-year-old woman in his cab outside of the Barbary Bar at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The woman told police that she entered the driver's blue and red freedom cab outside of the bar. During the ride, the woman lost her cell phone in the backseat.
She added that the driver pulled over and entered the backseat to help her search for the phone.
Authorities then say the driver digitally penetrated the woman.
Police describe the driver as a black male between the ages of 40 and 50-years-old. They say he is 6'0", with black hair and a stocky build. Officials add that he was wearing a brown jacket.
