PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Eagle defensive back Earl Wolff was kidnapped at gunpoint late last month.

Police say this happened during the early morning hours on February 23 in Fayetteville North Carolina. Wolff was approached by a group when leaving a friends house and forced into a vehicle.

According to police he was only held captive for a short time.

Wolff played for the birds for two seasons before being waived and being signed by his current team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
