Flyers' Stanley Cup Odds Cut In Half

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers and the Stanley Cup have not often been mentioned in the same sentence this season, if at all.

But thanks to the team's recent surge --  three straight wins and only two losses in their last 10 games -- the Flyers' odds to win the Stanley Cup have been reduced, according to Bovada LV, from 100-1 to 50-1 over the past month. Furthermore, they're now listed at 28-1 to win the Eastern Conference.

Rookie defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, who had his record 15-game point streak snapped in February, is 7-1 to win the NHL Calder Trophy for rookie of the year.

With just 20 games to play, the Flyers (29-22-11, 69) sit just three points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins (32-21-8, 72) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.
