Report: Eagles 'Upped Offer' For Sam Bradford
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In nine days, Sam Bradford will become a free-agent. Unless, of course, the Philadelphia Eagles sign him to a new contract.
And the likelihood of that continues to increase, according to another report.
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reported over the weekend that sources tell him the Eagles have "upped" their offer for Bradford to the "top of his expected range." The offer, according to the report, could very well keep Bradford from hitting the free-agent market on March 9th.
"When you make a bump in your offer, you're sending a clear signal that we want this guy," Garafolo told Michael Barkann and Ike Reese Monday on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show. "And we're not just going through the motions here."

Garafolo, who did not disclose financial terms in his original report, believes the Eagles are offering a reasonable $12-$15 million per season, incentive based deal.
"Somewhere from $12 to $15 million," Garafolo said. "That middle of the pack road that the Eagles would be willing to go. They're not going to go $20 million, at least not as a face value. And that's the key to this deal -- OK maybe it will be in the range of, again, $12 to $15 million, but we understand that you think if you re-gain the top form or the form that made you a number one overall pick, that you're going to want to be making close to what the top quarterbacks in the league are making. So here's some upside built into the deal -- Pro Bowls, playoff appearances, Super Bowls, X, Y, Z."
Last week, vice president of football operations Howie Roseman indicated the Eagles will meet with Bradford's agent, Tom Condon, this week.
"All I know, if Sam wants to be in Philadelphia, then he'll be in Philadelphia," head coach Doug Pederson said.
"Sam's a part of the Eagles' organization and what he's done in the last half of last year I think has given him an opportunity to stay in Philadelphia," Pederson said last week via CSNPhilly.com. "Being in his shoes, being a player in his shoes, you have to want to be somewhere. And I think Sam wants to be in Philly."
94WIP's Howard Eskin reported almost two weeks ago that the Eagles would not franchise tag the 28-year-old QB, which would give him a one-year deal around $20 million. Eskin also believed the Eagles would try to re-sign Bradford to a new deal around a reasonable $14-$15 per season.
