Dover Police Corporal Resigns From Force

DOVER, D.E., (CBS) -- A Dover Police Corporal, who was acquitted in a felony assault case, has resigned from the force.

Corporal Thomas Webster was caught on camera in 2013, kicking a black man in the head. He was found not guilty of all charges in December and was on track to return to active duty.

Instead, Webster has resigned.

Some Dover residents and activists were fighting his reinstatement to the force.
