Chris Stigall: Why Hasn't Obama Already Closed Guantanamo Bay?
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chris Stigall responded to President Obama sending a plan to Congress to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay by asking why it has not been closed already?
Stigall, on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, said Obama wanted to do this when he first won election and wonders why it is still open?
"The first thing Barack Obama did when he walked through the front door of the White House was sign an order to close Guantanamo Bay. Seven years later, it's not who we are and we gotta close it. What stopped him? Why hasn't he? He had total Democrat control of Congress for two years. He signed an executive order. If you want to say he couldn't do it without Congress, okay, well he had a Congress in his back pocket for two of his first four years. Barack Obama should have everything he wants."
