Report: Consensus Around NFL Is Eagles Will Re-Sign Bradford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sam Bradford may very well stay in Philadelphia.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole joined the 94WIP Josh Innes Show to discuss his report on Tuesday, which indicated that Bradford will likely re-sign with the Eagles based on conversations he's had with sources around the NFL.

"Well they feel pretty confident that this is the direction that the Eagles are gonna go," Cole said on Tuesday afternoon. "I think some of it's based on a conversation they're having in and around the team. And then other conversations they're having are with people around the league and how they perceive how things are going for Bradford."

Cole clarified that Bradford's new contract with the Eagles could certainly come well after March 9th, the day free-agency begins.

"I don't think this is going to happen, necessarily, before free-agency starts," Cole said. "It may take awhile into free-agency and that's sort of the litmus test in this. Which is, the interest around the league is probably not going to be so heavy as to trump whatever the Eagles are going to are gonna offer Bradford.

"Hey may very well test free-agency," Cole reiterated, "but ultimately Philadelphia may end up being the best spot for him."
