Center For Autism Receives $25K Grant From Ronald McDonald House Charities

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia nonprofit has received a big donation for its efforts to help people with autism.

Ronald McDonald House Charities donated $25,000 to the Center for Autism Tuesday to help the organization fund therapy services, group activities, and get equipment and devices for the people who use their services.

"We're going to utilize to put enhancements into the program that we run here for school aged children on the autism spectrum," says the center's Reggie Candio.

Candio says this donation helps them continue to be a resource for specialized autism services.

"It's really fantastic to see folks reaching out to us and helping us push our mission forward, supporting as many kids as we can."

This year, the Ronald McDonald House is giving grants to more than 15 organizations in the Delaware Valley that help children.
