Main Line Society of Professional Women To Host Event With Local New York Times Best-Selling Author

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A New York Times Best Selling Author from the Philadelphia area will be speaking at an upcoming Main Line Society of Professional Women event, and the proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Steve McClatchy is the author of the New York Times Best-Selling book "Decide" and is a performance and personal growth expert.

"Decide is about the psychology behind the decisions we make and decision making patterns of leaders, and of our most successful people," he says. "And what does it look like to balance the things we want to accomplish in life with the things that we have to do in life."

McClatchy's February 11 appearance at the Radnor Valley Country Club will focus on leadership strategies for women in business.

"Leadership is not a position," he says. "It's not a title or a seat that you sit in. It's a result that you produce."

McClatchy has been part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for more than 30 years.

It has changed my life," he says, "and the life of my family."

Barnes and Noble will also donate money from book sales at the event to the nonprofit.
