Report: Eagles Suspend Search For 'Personnel Head'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- "We're about to do a search for a player personnel head and that will really be an important search that we're all participating in, starting this week."

That was Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie addressing the media on January 19th, when he announced Doug Pederson as his team's new head coach.

So here we are two weeks later and still no new "player personnel head." And according to a report from Geoff Mosher, sources indicate the Eagles have pushed paused on that search.

Last Thursday, it was reported Brandon Hunt of the Steelers would interview for the job, among others.

On December 30th, when Lurie announced the firing of Chip Kelly, he put Howie Roseman back in charge -- as executive vice president in charge of football operations. Lurie also announced Tom Donahoe will run the day-to-day player personnel department.

The Eagles have already signed Zach Ertz, Lane Johnson, and Brent Celek to contract extensions this offseason.
