Special Delivery For Montco Couple During Storm

LANSDALE, Pa (CBS) - A Montgomery County couple had to brave the winter storm over the weekend for the birth of their son.

Their baby boy was born during the storm, but getting to the hospital in time was something they will never forget.

Baby Jack was born at Einstein Medical Center, almost a week before his due date.

"We were both panicking a little bit," says dad Patrick Johnson. "I was doing my best to hide it so hopefully it didn't become contagious."

But when moms water broke Saturday night, there was no more waiting.

Two feet of snow in the neighborhood, driving conditions were hazardous. The normal 15 minute drive took an hour, but Patrick says their SUV did great.

Patrick used to live in Buffalo, so driving in the snow wasn't anything new for him.

Jack was born early Sunday morning. Both parents say it's going to be a great story to tell when he gets older.
