One Killed After Fire Rips Through Wilmington Home

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- One person is dead after flames ripped through a home in Wilmington, Delaware.

The fire broke out shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Abington Road in the Dartmouth Woods development off of Naamans Road in New Castle County.

Firefighters arrived on scene with flames shooting from the two story dwelling.

Authorities say after the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the body of a person inside the home.

There were no reported injuries but the house sustained heavy damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
