Vote: Will Doug Pederson Succeed In Philly?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles will introduce Doug Pederson as the 23rd head coach in franchise history at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

55-percent of fans -- per a poll done on Tuesday morning by Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show -- are "somewhat" optimistic about Doug Pederson. Just nine-percent are "very" optimistic, while 36-percent voted "not at all" optimistic.

94WIP's Reuben Frank, who explained that Howie Roseman "is running the team," joined the show to also discuss Pederson as well. Frank is not optimistic.

"I like Doug and yeah, he's a smart guy," Frank admitted. "[Andy] had a lot of talented players when he took over and they had that stretch where they drafted great from like '99 to 2002. He had talent, he had really, really good players. He was a good coach with good players. Doug Pederson's got Fletcher Cox and what else does he have? He doesn't have talent, he doesn't have players.

"Well who's gonna get him the players? Howie Roseman!"

94WIP's Ray Didinger called the hire a "risk," stating that he doesn't recall someone becoming an NFL head coach with a thinner resume than Pederson.
