Stigall: Trump Criticism Of Cruz Is Off Base

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Chris Stigall questioned Donald Trump's attacks on Ted Cruz, his main rival for the Republican presidential nomination, and whether Trump, if elected, would govern like conservatives and his supporters hope.

Stigall pointed out that Trump claiming he can make deals, while Cruz is nasty and unlikeable, is the same criticism Trump supporters make against the Republican party establishment they want to defeat.

"Is that who we want? Somebody that's likable, that's affable, that can get along and cut deals in Washington DC? I ask you, is that who we want? Is that what conservatives have been clamoring for? A deal maker? Because that's just what he said. Ted Cruz is unlikeable...I understand, when there's an emotional investment you don't want to hear criticism, but at some point we're going to have to be honest with ourselves and say, Donald Trump's criticism of Ted Cruz is he can't get along and cut deals with the establishment. What the hell have you people been propping Donald Trump up about then?"
