Popular Twin Brothers Bring Brains And Brawn To Philly Home & Garden Show
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The popular duo known as the Property Brothers on HGTV brought their skills and knowledge to the Philadelphia Home and Garden Show Saturday at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, drawing hundreds of adoring fans.
Realtor Drew Scott and Contractor Jonathan Scott answered questions, and gave tips on upgrading properties.
"Don't try to jump into trying to flip properties or real estate investment, if you're not ready," the twins told KYW Newsradio.
They say before you buy, do your research first.
"Have a contractor walk through with you to see how much it would cost to fix up," they advised. "And then also have a real estate agent that knows the value difference between what it is now, and what it could be once you do a certain amount of work."
And they say be smart about your investments.
"If you're going to spend all this money, and then not make a profit, than it's not worth getting into."
