Fire Destroys Feasterville Restaurant, Damages 3 Other Businesses

FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- Fire tore through a Chinese restaurant in a Bucks County strip mall overnight, destroying it and damaging three neighboring businesses, as well.

Flames broke out around 1 a.m. Monday at the Hong Kong King Buffet in the Bucks Center strip mall in the 700 block of Bustleton Pike in Feasterville.

"It's a complete loss inside the Hong Kong Buffet," said Lower Southampton Fire Chief William Oettinger. "It spread over to the Bridal Shop and there's a little bit of smoke damage to the small shops to the other side of the business."

David's Bridal, a dress store called VIP Fashion and a gift shop sustained smoke and water damage as a result of the fire.

The owner of the dress store said business had picked up over the weekend as many students have had an eye towards prom season.

The fire marshall was working to determine what sparked the blaze.

There were no injuries reported.
