Watch: Ben Roethlisberger Pelted With Beer Cans By Bengals Fans

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Who do they think they are? Us?

On Saturday night, while Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was being carted off the field, Cincinnati Bengals fans must have miraculously morphed into Philadelphia Eagles fans. Because there's no other way to explain their actions for throwing beer cans at Big Ben.

Only the "obnoxious" Philly sports fan would ever think of throwing things onto the field. The only explanation for the action of Bengals fans must be, all of the Eagles fans that threw snowballs at Santa Claus in 1968 came back to life as zombies and filled Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati for Saturday night's AFC Wildcard game.

That's the only realistic thing I can come up with. Otherwise, I can't explain it.

Anyway, Roethlisberger returned late in the game and led the Steelers to an 18-16 win over the Bengals, after two 15-yard penalties (unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike conduct) set up the game-winning field goal.

Karma.
