Preview: Flyers At Wild Tonight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will be back on the ice tonight as they visit the Minnesota Wild.

Philadelphia will be looking for a second straight win after holding off Montreal on Tuesday at the Center, 4-3. That victory improved Philadelphia to 16-15-7. With 39 points, the Flyers are currently tied for sixth place in the eight-team Metropolitan Division.

Minnesota has a record of 21-11-7 and they last played on Tuesday when they won on the road at Columbus, 4-2. The Wild are currently in fourth place in the Central Division with 49 points.

This will be the first of two meetings between these two teams this season. They will also meet at the Center on February 25th. The teams split their two meetings last season.

This will also be the first game for the Flyers since that big trade with the Los Angeles Kings. Yesterday, the Flyers dealt defenseman Luke Schenn and center Vincent Lecavalier to the Kings in exchange for forward Jordan Weal and a third-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Dave Isaac of the Courier Post about the trade and this match-up with Minnesota.
