Governor Wolf Makes Dual Stops On "Jobs That Pay" Tour

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Governor Tom Wolf made a pair of stops in the Philadelphia suburbs on his "Jobs That Pay" tour.

The Governor's first stop was in Malvern at Universal Pasteurization Company, then at the Blue Bell office space of PRA Health Sciences, a contract research company that works with biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Governor Wolf says there are two reasons for the stops.

The first to show what Pennsylvania is doing to  attract well-paying jobs, the second to ask business leaders what his administration can do to attract well-paying jobs.

"I need to know what we can do in Harrisburg to encourage more of this kind of thing to go on, because then you end up with jobs that pay," Wolf said.

Speaking at PRA's new multi-million dollar offices in Blue Bell, Wolf says with so many colleges and universities with strong reputations in the Philadelphia area,

Wolf says there are many colleges and universities with strong reputations in the area.

"It translates into companies coming to places like Blue Bell, and setting up shop and attracting those people," he said.

PRA, for example, Wolf says is expected to create around 250 jobs by the end of the year, to go with more than 11oo already at the facility.
