Week 17: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- And...scene!

The Philadelphia Eagles wrapped up one of the most dysfunctional, disappointing, and devastating seasons in recent memory, finishing with a 35-30 meaningless win over the New York Giants to get to 7-9.

The win earns the Eagles a trip to Seattle instead of facing the Rams in London next season, while it lowers their draft position. Yay!

Duds

3. Riley Cooper

Sunday was the seventh game this season Riley Cooper was held without a catch. I can't see how Cooper is back next season, as Eagles will save $2.9 million in 2016 cap dollar if Cooper is released.

2. Josh Huff

Sunday was the sixth time Huff was held to one or zero catches. Next year Huff has just a $753,000 cap hit, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if a new coach decided to move on from the third-round -- seemingly -- bust.

1. Ryan Mathews

Mathews had 11 yards on four carries on Sunday. In his last five games played, Mathews has averaged 26 rushing yards and 7.8 carries per game.

Studs

3. Marcus Smith

Yes, you read that right! Marcus Smith!

Smith recorded a sack, two hits, and three hurries in just 12 rushes!

2. Zach Ertz

I've been critical of Ertz lately after a few bad drops and that miserable fumble against the Redskins, but nine catches for 152 yards is impressive. His 152 yards were the fourth-highest total ever by an Eagles tight end. Plus, his 30 receptions over the final three games sets an Eagles record for the most catches over a three games span.

1. Sam Bradford

Bradford was 30-38, 320 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT and the team scored 35 points. It was his best game of the season. Maybe -- just maybe -- off back-to-back ACL tears in year one of a brand new offense, Bradford is finally starting to get comfortable. Is that possible?
