Report: Eagles To Interview Adam Gase, Interested In Sean Payton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There is no shortage of coaching news for the Eagles who have parted ways with Chip Kelly and are working to find the next coach of the team. According to reports, the Eagles will interview Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase in the next few days and reportedly also want in on Saints coach Sean Payton if he becomes available.

An ESPN report links Gase to the Eagles who are expected to sit down with the offensive coordinator in the coming days. Gase has impressed under John Fox during stints in Denver and Chicago.

Gase, 37, handled play-calling duties for the Bears this past season and received credit for helping Jay Cutler cut down on turnovers following a year in which he led the league in that category.

The report also linked Gase to the Dolphins and Browns.

While Gase is considered one of the hottest names on the market, none may be hotter than that of Sean Payton. The Saints head coach is reportedly interested in potentially leaving New Orleans, but with time left on his deal, compensation will have to be worked out for the Saints.

According to ESPN, the 49ers and Eagles are both expected to look into acquiring Payton.

What remains to be seen is what will a team have to give up to get Payton.
