Pennsylvania Man Creates Epic Bucket List For Dying Dog

ERIE, Pa. (CBS) --  A dog diagnosed with lymphoma is going on quite the adventure.

Todd Burchanowski and his dog, Reyes, have dedicated the past few weeks to checking items off a bucket list together.

From leaving their Western Pennsylvania home to visiting Niagara Falls to riding in a boat, theirs is quite the story.

A story that's all being documented and celebrated on social media.

A drive through the car wash, swimming for the first time.

French fries at McDonald's, and a walk down the aisle.

With just months to live, the beagle-poodle mix is checking off an 81-item bucket list with her owner.

She was diagnosed with lymphoma just before Thanksgiving.

Owner Todd is posting each adventure to Facebook.

Some are simple, like number 43: Build a snow man.

Others are sweet, like number 66, take a relaxing bubble bath.

There are elaborate ones that have been checked off, too.

Like number 28, visit Niagara Falls and number 41, go outside the United States.

And one all dog owners can identify with in number 12: watch a sunset with my best friend.

"We just wanted to do something that will be special for her in her last days," Todd said.

It seems to be striking a cord with people from all across the country, who are posting words of encouragement for the duo, who still need to check off about 30 more items.
