Police: Hiker Found Human Remains Inside Delco Park
MEDIA, Pa. (CBS) - Police in Delaware County are investigating the grim discovery of skeletal remains inside a state park Friday.
Authorities say a hiker found a human skeleton about three miles into the Ridley Creek State Park around 1 p.m. New Year's Day.
Investigators say the bones are of a white female in her late teens or twenties, with a tall and slender build.
The medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the manner of death, but they say it looks like the bones have been there for a while, maybe even years.
The State Police - Media Barracks are handling the investigation, and they ask if anyone has reported somebody missing in the last few years to please give them a call.
