Dad Films Toddler Twins Coming Down Stairs Christmas Morning And It's Awesome

by Stacey Jeffers

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (CBS) --  These little ladies sure know how to make an entrance!

A Springfield couple wanted to remember the moment their 2-year-old twins came down the stairs on Christmas morning, so dad got out his phone and started recording.

Nick Travaglini was hoping to capture little Maya and Ava's faces when they saw all the presents Santa left for them, but- as life sometimes goes- that isn't what ended up happening.

In the video, little Maya is seen happily scooting down the steps.

Twin Ava is right behind her, but loses her footing and tumbles right past her sister, crash-landing at the bottom.

Nick stops recording as he and wife Shayna rush to their daughter's side to make sure she's okay.

Fortunately, she was!

Nick posted the footage to his Facebook page with the caption, "First Christmas coming down the steps... we have to make this a tradition! It's only funny because she was fine."

He then explained Ava "shook it off like a champ," while mom Shayna assured friends the toddler didn't shed a single tear.

They posted an adorable photo after the fall showing the girls test-driving their new Frozen-themed Jeep, with little Ava riding shotgun.

The video received such an overwhelming response, friends urged the couple to post it on YouTube.

"Ava's first trip down the steps for Christmas" has been viewed just over 4,000 times already on the site.
