Palmer On Bradford: 'He's Done A Ton In A Very Short Amount Of Time'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's one thing when his head coach says it. But when an opposing veteran, three-time Pro Bowl quarterback says it, the comments come with slightly more significance.

"And coming off a knee," Carson Palmer said Wednesday via CSNPhilly.com during a conference call, speaking about Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford. "I know how that is. So that's why I said, you have to take your hat off to Sam because he's done a ton in a very short amount of time."

Bradford is in his first season with the Eagles thanks to an offseason trade, that sent him to Philly from St. Louis. Bradford played in just seven games during his final two seasons with the Rams, after suffering back-to-back ACL injuries.

After a bumpy start to year one in Chip Kelly's offense, the Eagles won six of their last eight games Bradford has started and finished (he missed two games due to injury). Over his last four games, Bradford has thrown four touchdowns and just one -- debatable -- interception.

"You have to take your hat off to Sam," said Palmer. "He's come into a completely different style of everything, run game, in the shot gun, different players, different play calls, totally different tempo. I mean totally different change and he's really picked it up fast. I think every quarterback in the league would look at it and say, 'Man, he's done a great job in such a short time.'

"But two years would be getting it fast. I really think it's a three-year thing."
