'Voice Of An Angel' Bobby Hill Performs At Kimmel Center & Releases New Single

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –  The distinctive beautiful voice of Philadelphia's Bobby Hill brought people to their feet inside the Kimmel Center.

"When people notice me and stuff and want to take pictures, it's just great to know that I'm having an effect on people," Hill told Eyewitness News when he was asked how he feels about his new-found fame.

The 14-year-old from the Keystone State Boychoir grabbed the world's attention with a surprising spontaneous performance in front of Pope Francis in September.

Tuesday night, he was back in front of a crowd that was ready for him, and his conductor knew he could handle it.

"Truly a remarkable voice. I mean, I think personally you're going to be interviewing him outside the Met one day, it's that extraordinary," said conductor Steven Fischer from the Keystone Boychoir.

The choir was signing as part of the Soulful Christmas holiday program.

As great as his solo performance was, it was when the rest of the choir joined him during O' Holy Night that brought the crowd to their feet.

"It was cool to be able to sing altogether and just have it work. It was just great," Hill explained after the show.

And just in time for the holidays, the local singing sensation has released a single to get everyone into the spirit.

Hill's new single, "O Holy Night" is available for free.

Eyewitness News first got a glimpse of Hill's talent during his impromptu performance for Pope Francis.

Hill was also named one of Ebony Magazine's 2015 "Power 100."
