Jay Lloyd's Getaway: Indoor Golf

By Jay Lloyd

LINFIELD, Pa. (CBS) -- When you're looking for a golf getaway with the gang, but the weather is frightful, there's still a game to be had. Take it indoors.

Try playing on an indoor golf course with a wall size simulator screen that tracks your shots and provides a televised pro tour view of course and game. And here at Linfield National Golf Course in Montgomery County, you pick the course.

"You're playing some of the most famous courses in the world, Oakmont, Merion," says Pro Steve Knapp who operates Indoor Golf.

Knapp estimates a foursome can play an awesome course in three hours while enjoying chomps and sips served at your course from the bar.

Golfer Mike Lord is addicted.

"The simulation is so good," he says. "It's virtual golf. You're there."

Okay Steve Knapp, what about the putting? I can't quite nail it.

"Woo! Really hard," Knapp says. "Again, we're playing some of the world's hardest golf courses."
