Suspect Accused Of Intimidating Witness With Violent Imagery In Rap Video

COATESVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- An employee of the Chester County Juvenile Probation Department is accused of Witness Intimidation.

Authorities allege she went into to a courtroom on behalf of her boyfriend, to tell a potential witness in a drug case against him, not to show up at an upcoming hearing.

Twenty-three-year-old Chanel Turner was a receptionist in the Chester County Juvenile Probation office. Investigators say when her boyfriend, accused Coatesville drug dealer, 25-year-old Kenneth Wylie, told her a witness against him in a pending case was in the Justice Center, she went to a courtroom, found that potential witness and said, "Hey, don't come to court tomorrow."

When he questioned her, she told him, "War said don't come to court tomorrow," and referenced Wylie's preliminary hearing on drug sales.

Chester County district attorney Tom Hogan says they expect such a move from an accused drug dealer.

"But when somebody's who's a member of the juvenile probation office actually participates in witness intimidation, that is always something that is a shock to everybody in law enforcement," he said.

Investigators say Wylie then showed up at the Justice Center, said to the victim, "Long time, no see," then followed him through the halls into another office, glaring at him.

Hogan says Wylie also played a role in a music video last May, designed to frighten witnesses away from testifying against him.

In the video, posted on YouTube, Wylie, according to Hogan, portrays a gunman shooting a man who has cooperated against him.

Turner has been fired and is facing four felony charges of witness intimidation and conspiracy.

Wylie is a fugitive facing outstanding arrest and bench warrants for selling drugs, and now, witness intimidation.
