Woman, Two Children Injured After Fire Rips Through Home In Northwood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman and two young children were rushed to the hospital this morning after a house fire in Philadelphia's Northwood neighborhood.

Flames broke out around 5:30 a.m. inside a row home along the 4600 block of Oakland Street and quickly spread to two neighboring homes.

The blaze was brought under control in less than an hour.

Authorities say a 26-year-old woman, a 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl were all taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. They were listed in stable condition.

Officials say the woman also suffered burns, and injuries to her back and neck when she reportedly jumped from a second floor window to escape the fire.

The was no immediate word on what sparked the fire.
