Week 13: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings! Thanks to a stinky division and Sunday's miracle win over the league's most feared team, the Eagles find themselves right back in the thick of the playoff hunt.

In their 35-28 win over the New England Patriots, the Birds received contributions from a ton of unexpected players like Chris Maragos and Eric Rowe, as well as their leaders like Malcolm Jenkins, Sam Bradford, and Jason Peters.

Here are the top three Eagles' studs and duds.

Duds

3. Ed Reynolds

Reynolds saw extended time on the field with Nolan Carroll out and it was not pretty. Reynold was noticeable in more negative than positive ways all game long.

2. Kiko Alonso

I don't what is going on with Kiko, but he looks completely lost out there. Hopefully he's still not 100-percent healthy, but he's just not a good linebacker right now.

1. DeMarco Murray

I'm not ready to go overboard and completely say Murray is getting phased out of the offense, but when you get out-carried nine-to-eight by a sixth-round draft pick who has 29 career carries in Kenjon Barner (who played well by the way)...that's reason for concern.

Studs

3. Sam Bradford

The Eagles are 5-2 in the last seven games Sam Bradford has started and finished. In his last three starts, Bradford has completed 67.1-percent of his passes for 651 yards, 4 TD, and 0 INT. That last number is the most important and it's what separates him from guys like Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez.

That third down completion to Riley Cooper was a winning throw.

2. Darren Sproles

What else can we say about Sproles? On Sunday, he became the first Eagle ever with multiple punt return touchdowns in more than one season. He was also the Eagles' featured back, tallying 15 carries for 66 yards and four catches for 34 more yards.

1. Malcolm Jenkins

The 99-yard interception return was well deserved. Jenkins is the leader of the Eagles' defense and has been on the NFL's best safeties all season long. Other than the game-changing pick six, Jenkins had seven tackles, two for a loss, a pass deflection, and was excellent in coverage all day.
