Mixed Feelings In South Philly As Sixers Continue To Struggle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers set the record for most consecutive losses in all of professional sports on Friday, dating back to last season. Now, they are close to making history again.

After falling to the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday night, the Sixers are one defeat away from setting the NBA record for most losses to start a season.

A lot of fans aren't happy, but they aren't exactly surprised either.

"You know, they're asking the fan base to swallow a lot," one fan said. "I think they're just begging for patience."

Other fans are optimistic about the young future.

"I still believe because we've got a lot of young talent."

Some say they still trust General Manager Sam Hinkie's plan to rebuild the team.

"You know, trust the process. You cast this aside for the fact in two or three years they're going to be really good," one fan told KYW Newsradio.

But others are getting fed up.

"We are now in year three and we're still 0-18. When do we start winning games?"

If they don't start Tuesday night at home against the Lakers, the Sixers will be a historically bad 0-19.
