Holiday Shopping Frenzy Continues On Cyber Monday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The kickoff to shopping season continues today with Cyber Monday, if you haven't spent all of your money just yet.
There are lots of deals out there in the cyber world to grab.
Brent Shelton, online shopping expert with FatWallet.com, says timing is everything -- and the busiest time to buy will be after work today.
"What you want to do during those times is have a little patience," Shelton says. "And maybe if you are sure an item that is not going to sell out, just bookmark it and wait until a little bit later, it should still be there."
And he says when it comes to shopping on your phone using mobile apps, you need to be careful to buy only from places that you trust.
"Make sure you trust the app that you are using," Shelton says. "You don't want to click on any ads during Cyber Monday. That's when Cyber bad guys are really targeting us."
As far as the best deals, he says check social media for shopping sites you want to buy from before you make your purchase. Often times, they have extra savings deals to combine, saving you some cash.
