Police Capture Person Of Interest In PA State Trooper Shooting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police have captured a man they have been looking for since a Pennsylvania State Trooper was shot on the Vine Street Expressway earlier this week.
Police say the person of interest was picked up by police Thursday. He was believed to be a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped by police just before the shooting on I-676.
There are no charges expected to be filed against him, and he is said to be cooperating with police.
17-year-old Giovanni Cotto has been charged in connection with the shooting of 31-year-old trooper Patrick Casey on Tuesday.
Casey was released from the hospital Wednesday morning.
