U.S. Presidential Candidate Delivers Keynote Speech At Business Conference In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- With little fanfare, a U.S. presidential candidate delivered the keynote speech at a business conference Thursday morning at the University of Pennsylvania.
Speaking to about 100 people at Penn's Irvine Auditorium, Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina said big government is holding the nation back.
"Entrepreneurship and innovation is being crushed. It's being crushed by a government that has grown so big, so powerful, so costly, so corrupt and so inept -- and a professional political class that won't do anything about it," said Fiorina.
Fiorina -- currently with single-digit support in the polls -- said she would use zero-based budgeting and roll back regulations to get government out of the way of business. Her speech came at a two-day conference sponsored by Keystone Business magazine.
