Patti LaBelle's Pies Flying Off The Shelves Thanks To A Viral Video

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philly native Patti LaBelle is known for more than just her music. Her culinary resume includes a cooking show, line of sauces, and cookbooks.
A viral video has helped her latest venture, Patti Pies, fly off the shelves.
Patti LaBelle's sweet potato pies have become an internet sensation. It started with an enthusiastic video review of the pie that was posted on Facebook by a man named James Wright.
"I went and bought the Patti LaBelle pie, sweet potato Patti LaBelle," says Wright. "This is the Patti addition honey"
After cutting open the box and taking a bite, Wright began to sing like Patti LaBelle.
"Ooooh if, I turned into Patti, you will turn into Patti after eating this"
The video has over 8 million views on Facebook.
"Go to Walmart and buy the Patti Labelle Pie. Patti you are my friend, I never knew until then, but I know now."
Patti LaBelle's sweet potato pies are being sold at Walmart for $4.00 but are sold out. They are available on eBay for upwards of $45.
