Man, Woman Hospitalized Following Shooting Inside Mayfair Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say two people are hospitalized following a shooting in the Mayfair section of the city Wednesday morning.

A man was shot in the head and a woman was shot in the shoulder.

Police say the shooting happened inside of a bedroom in a home on the 6200 block of Mershon Street.

Authorities say two children were home at the time, a nine-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy. Both were unharmed.

Police say the shooting appears domestic in nature, but it is still under investigation.

Two weapons were recovered from the scene.

Authorities say both victims were taken to Aria-Torresdale.  The man is extremely critical and the woman is in stable condition.
