Week 9: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Exhale, Philadelphia.

Phew.

What a roller-coaster like, emotional---at times excruciating---win for the Eagles. And thankfully, I'm going to struggle coming up with three duds.

Duds

3. Malcolm Jenkins

It pains me to write this because Jenkins has, arguably, been the Eagles' best all-around player this season. And he wasn't awful or anything, he just struggled in the slot against the smaller, shifty Cole Beasley.

Beasley had a ridiculous nine catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He was catch-less in his previous two games.

2. Josh Huff

Two catches for 10 yards on five targets, including this egregious drop that was almost picked off in the end zone after Huff volley-balled it---which would have changed the complexion of the entire game. However, Huff did do a really nice job blocking in the run game.

1. Riley Cooper

I know he got hurt, but he returned...and finished with 0 catches on 0 targets. I'm not trying to pick on Cooper, I promise, there just aren't many duds to choose from!

Studs

3. Jordan Hicks

How can I leave the rook out? Seven tackles, a pass deflection, and that game-altering pick six. We're all praying that his injury is not serious.

2. Jordan Matthews

Sam Bradford said he never saw a player work harder than Jordan Matthews this week. Matthews fixed his butterfingers' problem and hauled in nine catches for 133 yards on 12 targets, including the walk-off touchdown catch and run.

He earned our respect on his 28th birthday. Just 11 incompletions, 295 yards, 0 turnovers, only one sack taken, and the game-winning TD pass in overtime. Every time the Eagles needed points, Bradford came threw. He remained calm, cool, and collected on the road in a high-pressure situation and led the Eagles to a victory.

On Sunday night, Bradford was the difference.
