Coast Guard Searching For Vessel In Distress Off Jersey Shore

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) – There is an active search for a vessel in distress off the New Jersey shore.

The Coast Guard in Philadelphia received a mayday call around 12:45 p.m. Sunday stating a fishing vessel was taking on water and heading into port.

In response, the Coast Guard launched a helicopter from Atlantic City to search for the vessel.That search is ongoing.
