Authorities: Man Found Dead Following Standoff Died From Self Inflicted Gunshot Wound

BUCKS COUNTY, P.A., (CBS) -- An autopsy has been completed on the man who was found shot dead inside a Bucks County motel room yesterday, following a barricade situation that lasted several hours.

Authorities say the man, 34-year-old Lloyd Wayne Franklin, was killed by a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The medical examiner also found two other bullets inside Franklin's body and police believe he was shot by one of his alleged murder victims.

Franklin and his accomplice 28-year-old Jennifer Lanning had been on the run since late October. That's when they were named as suspects in the killing of an elderly North Carolina couple.

After the standoff at the Knights Inn in Bensalem, Lanning was arrested along with James Miller, who is the hitch-hiker the murder suspects picked up along their way to Pennsylvania from North Carolina.
