Flyers Look To Snap Losing Streak In Calgary Tonight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will look to stop the bleeding tonight as they take on the Calgary Flames at the Saddledome.

Philadelphia has lost five straight games to fall to 4-6-2 this season. They are winless so far on this five-game on this road trip, losing in Buffalo, Vancouver and Edmonton. The trip wraps up in Winnipeg.

Offense has been a problem for the Flyers this season. They have scored just 23 goals in 12 games and they have lit the lamp just eight times during this current skid.

Not a lot of laughs around the Flames these days, either. Calgary is 3-9-1 and in last place in the Pacific Division. The Flames have been outscored this season by a nearly 2-1 margin (55-30).

Michal Neuvirth is expected to get the start in net tonight for the Flyers. He made 45 saves in Tuesday night's 4-2 loss to the Oilers.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with the Philadelphia Inquirer's Sam Carchidi about the struggles of the Flyers and tonight's game in Calgary.
