Christie Kicked Off Amtrak's Quiet Car, Offers Apology

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- New Jersey Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Chris Christie is apologizing tonight. The governor is saying sorry for making too much noise on an Amtrak quiet car.

Riders reported that Christie was talking loudly on his phone on Sunday morning and a conductor asked him to leave the car.

Christie spokeswoman Samantha Smith released a statement, apologizing and saying the governor sat in the quiet car accidentally.

Smith continued – "After breaking the cardinal rule of the quiet car, the Governor promptly left once he realized the serious nature of his mistake and enjoyed the rest of his time on the train from the cafe car."
