Speculation Continues Over Whether Biden Will Announce Presidential Run

By Greg Argos

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The speculation over a Biden bid for President is growing by the hour.

"He's thinking about it, but it's a big thing to think about," said Congressman Bob Brady.

But even close friends like Congressman  Bob Brady aren't sure what the Vice President's decision will be.

"I don't know. I honestly don't know. I met with him about a week ago—two weeks ago when the Pope was here, for a good half hour, him and his family," said Brady.

Everyone seems to be guessing.

Congressman Brendan Boyle appears to have an inside scoop posting this to Twitter:

CBS 3 left him a message for some clarification, but never heard back.

Chelsea Clinton here in Philadelphia on her book tour is even adding to the conversation.

"That's up to the Vice President, I mean goodness this is a big choice for anyone and as my mom has said repeatedly the Vice President has to make whatever he thinks is the right choice for himself, his family, and our country," said Clinton.

Vague sure, but what isn't vague is who former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell will back if Biden becomes the next Democrat to announce his bid for our nation's top job.

"I'm for Hillary. I won't ever say a bad word about Joe. All the tea in China couldn't get me to say a bad word about Joe. I'm for Hillary. If Joe becomes the nominee, I'll give him my heart and soul in the fall," said Rendell.
