Chelsea Clinton Plugs Her New Book In Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of a former President and current White House hopeful made the rounds in the Philadelphia area, talking about her family, her new book, and the challenges we all face.

At the Palestra on the University of Pennsylvania campus, 35-year old Chelsea Clinton fielded questions and talked up the Food Trust, an organization that helps folks get access to affordable, nutritious food.

Now a mom, the former and perhaps future First Daughter said afterward that most of the discussions that she has with her mother, Hillary, center on family stuff.

"I feel I have a different stake in the future with my daughter, Charlotte. She just turned one. The rest is largely background music."

Tawa: And those conversations with your mom, they center on what mostly?

"Oh, my daughter. All of the grandparents that I know, including my parents, mainly want to talk about their granddaughter, which is exactly how it should be."

Chelsea demurred on the potential of Vice President Biden entering the race for president.

"Goodness. that's a big choice for anyone. And, as my mom has said repeatedly, 'the vice president has to make whatever he thinks is the right choice for himself, his family, and our country.'"

Then it was on to the AMY Northwest Middle School in Roxborough to share insights about her new book with 10-14-year olds. Entitled It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going, her book is written to inspire young readers to think about large and small issues.
