"Female Viagra" Hits The Market; Concerns Remain Over Safety & Effectiveness

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The drug known as "female Viagra" is officially on the market.

The drug Addyi is supposed to boost the female libido in pre-menopausal women.

The FDA approved the drug, but concerns remain over its effectiveness and side-effects, including low blood pressure and loss of consciousness.

Addyi is not meant to treat libido who experience low sex drive due to antidepressants.
