COPS: Man Thrown To Ground, Robbed After Offering Dollar To Suspect

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating after they say a man was attacked and robbed after he pulled out a dollar for a male who asked for money.

Authorities say around 10:42 p.m. on October 13, a 69-year-old man was walking on the 1300 block of Locust Street when he was approached by a male asking for money.

When the victim pulled out his wallet to give the man a dollar, police say the male shoved the victim to the ground and took his wallet.

Police say the suspect was last seen west on Locust Street.

The victim suffered a cut and lump to his head from being thrown on the ground.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, 30-years-old, 5'10", 160 pounds with blue eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a brown shirt and gray sweatpants.
