Much Cooler Temps Moving Into Our Region

By Geoffrey Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The average high temperature for October 14 is 67°, which is what we expect for Philadelphia today. That may feel cooler than normal to some after a couple of warm days.

Yesterday's cold front is the culprit, and he has a partner in crime that will drop temps even further this weekend. Sun will mix with clouds today as high pressure starts to build back in, with Thursday being an even brighter day.

Front #2 comes through on Friday, bringing clouds and showers to the region.

The bigger story is the cold blast of air behind it. Chilly weekend highs will only reach the mid to upper 50s, with lows Sunday morning unlikely to escape the 30s! Sunshine will return on Saturday, which will be breezy as well. If the winds die down enough by Saturday night, frost advisories may be issued for parts of the region.
