South Jersey Man Killed In Freak Lawn Mowing Accident

JOBSTOWN, N.J. (CBS) – Authorities say a 79-year-old man is dead after the lawn mower he was riding caught fire Sunday afternoon in Springfield Township, Burlington County.

This happened around 2:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Saylors Road in Jobstown.

Authorities say the man burned to death.

New Jersey State Police along with the Arson Unit and Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene.

An investigation into what caused the mower to catch fire continues.
