Terrell Owens: I Would 'Absolutely' Help This Eagles' Team

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Let's get right down to it.

Could 41-year-old Terrell Owens help the Philadelphia Eagles right now?

"Absolutely, yes," Owens told the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show on Friday. "No question, no question about that sir."

According to Sportscharts.com, the Eagles have the third most drops in the NFL with 10. Furthermore, Pro Football Focus reports Sam Bradford has 133 air yards lost to drops, second most in the NFL.

Sure, he's 41, but Owens---a six-time Pro Bowl NFL WR and member of 15,000 receiving yards club---is not your average over-the-hill player.

"You think that I shouldn't be playing right now?" Owens said. "I definitely could be playing right now, but based on my character---yeah, people can say, 'Oh he's 41.'

"But I'm not your average 41-year-old and Ike you can attest to that. And when I was on that football field, I felt like I was the best thing out there and it was due to how hungry I was and how dedicated I was."

Owens is notorious for his off-the-field antics, which may have changed his public perception and allowed some to forget about of how dominant an athlete he was.

'A Football Life' on Terrell Owens airs Friday night at 9:00 p.m. on the NFL Network.
