Poll: Majority Of Eagles Fans Have Lost Faith In Chip Kelly

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There aren't many of us left. You know, Chip Kelly believers. Or should I say apologists? Or Chip bots? Whatever you want to call us.

After a depressing 1-3 start to the season, Eagles fans are bailing on their coach and now GM, for that matter. According to a poll orchestrated on the 94WIP Mike & Show on Monday, about two out of every three fans have lost faith in Kelly.

Back on March 25th, after Kelly orchestrated numerous controversial roster moves, 72-percent of fans thought Kelly would eventually win a Super Bowl in Philly. Four games into the 2015 season and #InChipWeTrust has turned into #FireChip.

Look, you guys know where I stand. I believe in Chip Kelly. I always have and I'm not going to bail after four games (sure, I thought about it). The question is---is this a bad football team? And for the first time this year, I can't confidentially say yes.

Glass half-full: The Eagles lost three games by a combined 15 points and if they make two field-goals (44-yards, 33-yards) and an extra point (33-yards), they could be 3-1. I mean, they were 1-3 under Kelly before.

(CALEB FREAKIN' STURGIS! UGH)

But they're not.

Instead, they're 1-3 headed home to face Drew Brees and the 1-3 New Orleans Saints. There aren't many folks left on the Chip Ship and a 1-4 start might officially sink it.
