Study: Recalling Previous Meal Could Lead To Weight Loss

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you are trying to lose weight, you might want to follow the advice of an article in the British Medical Journal.

Thinking back to your last meal may help you feel full and eat less.

In their study, researchers told the women they were participating in a cookie taste test, but in fact, they were measuring how many cookies the women ate. Some of the women were told to think back on their journey to the lab, while others were told to think back to their lunch. Those who recalled their lunch ate fewer cookies.

Hunger is a complex physiologic process and there is no doubt that the mind plays a big part that we largely don't understand. Each and every time we can look into it with a study is important.

Some have suggested writing down what you eat each day is an effective way to reduce the calories.
